Paul Gascoigne, also known as “Gazza”, is considered one of the greatest football players in the history of English football. He started his career at Newcastle United in 1985 and quickly became a fan favourite for his technical skills and powerful shots. In 1990, he played a crucial role in the English national team’s run to the semi-finals of the World Cup, where his tears after receiving a yellow card in the game against West Germany became an iconic moment in English football history. Gascoigne went on to play for Tottenham Hotspur, Lazio, and Rangers, among other clubs, winning numerous trophies and individual awards throughout his career. Despite struggling with injuries and personal issues off the field, Gascoigne’s talent and charisma have left an indelible mark on the world of football.
